treasures I wear

So I have to tell you … a few weeks ago my family and I went to this estate sale and found some really great stuff!! No seriously. The lady who had owned the house was a neat little miss. She had all these clothes and things that she had sewn by hand.

We found boxes of buttons, fabric, fancy hats, scarves, and gloves. Going through her possessions was like stepping back in time. This gal had fabulous taste, let me tell you! From her showy felt hats all the way down to her elegant pointed shoes.

My sister and I walked away with literally boxes of things. We had such a fun time going through her old belongings and talking about what we thought she might have been like..

Would we have possibly been friends with her?

Did she like to watch Doris Day and Judy Garland movies too?

Some of my very favorite pieces we kept though, were her sweaters. How I wish I could have been with her when she was all gussied-up and picking these out at the store! Each of them is different and oh so lovely.

Here is just one.
