Miss Amber has become a very dear friend of mine. Not only is she stinkin' gorgeous she has a lovely blog with lots to share as well. Would you please let me introduce, 'Replicating His Love'!
I asked Amber to share some things about her blog, tell us what the Lord's been challenging her with lately, what is her favorite thing is about the coming holiday, and what's on her Christmas list this year. Here's what she had to say...
Hi, I'm Amber from Replicating His Love! My blog is a reflection of who I am. I believe with all my heart that I am who I am because of my Lord and the in-and-out changes He has made. The hopes of my blog is to present my life, giving all the glory to Him, in hopes that it will inspire you to seek Him as I have. My blog is a little bit of this and a little bit of that. One thing I can promise, though, is true vulnerability. I would love to get to know all of you a little better, as this community has already blessed me with some pretty amazing people.
The Lord has been challenging me a lot lately with trust. I worry a lot. And I mean a lot. It's a little worrisome, if you ask me. I'm at a point in my life right now where there seems to be a lot of uncertainty and, for me, that's hard to handle. Being a very organized individual already who plans everything out, it's been so unbelievably hard for me to trust my God. I know he has great plans for me (Jer. 29:11) and that that should be enough, but I've never been thrown so much uncertainty. Maybe that's the point, though. Maybe this is my test. God is testing me. I believe it is. And I believe I am getting better at it. It's a day by day process, but there is one thing that I know: I love my God and the love He has for me is all I need.
The traditions!! There are two that I can think of off the top of my head. First, we must watch Christmas Vacation every December. Chevy Chase is hilarious in it and I'm pretty certain my entire family has the movie memorized. A second tradition is searching for the green pickle on the Christmas tree every Christmas morning. Finding that green pickle (an ornament...thank God) reveals an extra present to that lucky individual. Unfortunately, I have not found this darn ornament since beginning the tradition nearly 8 years ago. Maybe this will be my lucky year.
One thing I'm asking Santa Claus this year is the "Help" movie. I read the book, watched the movie in theaters, and now I want to own the movie. It was probably one of the best replications of a "book-gone-movie" I have ever seen. Totally recommend it too, for those who haven't seen it yet.
Please take the time to stop by Amber's blog and say a quick howdy!!!
Happy Saturday, everyone!
~Mel
