our story

In honor of Valentine's Day, I thought I would share some pictures of the day I married my best friend and the story of how we met. Sorry, it's a lengthy one; my husband doesn't like to leave out a thing! ;)

Where'd we get married, you ask? At my Mama and Daddy's. I wanted to get married somewhere that I felt comfortable; somewhere that was me. So we did it on twenty acres, with the cows looking on and everything! ;) There's nothin' real fancy about this country girl, so I just added a pit of flowers and lace to the beautiful countryside.

We were taking a big chance getting married outdoors, but we knew God was in control. It actually rained that day. Nope, I'm not kidding. I could hear thunder from inside the house and was freaking out just a little like crazy! As I walked out the door, people had their umbrellas up, but as soon as I walked down the aisle the clouds parted and it completely stopped! Talk about perfect timing, huh? It was the perfect day!!
